Students Eligible for Free Lunch are Eligible for Free Home Internet

Governor Kay Ivey has committed $100 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security
(CARES) Act funding to deliver free internet access to eligible K-12 students in their homes this fall.
The State of Alabama is using the funds to purchase internet service for low-income households
with K-12 students so students can participate in distance learning. This service is being
administered through the Alabama Broadband Connectivity for Students Program.

DCSS to Partner with U.S.D.A. and Baylor University for Free Student Meals in June

Demopolis City School System still wants to provide food and nutrition to our students even during this time while school is closed, so we’re announcing a new program that will deliver meals at your doorstep for free. This program is called Meals-to-You, and it is a partnership between our district, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Baylor University. Your student(s) enrolled in the Demopolis City School System are eligible to participate in the program.

All you have to do is fill out an online sign-up form and submit it as soon as possible! Access the online form by clicking this link: https://mealstoyou.org/emergency-meals-to-you-application/. Boxes will be provided on a first come, first served basis, so sign up online today! Let Meals-to-You take away the stress of buying extra groceries during this time.
