Dual Enrollment

Demopolis High School and The University of West Alabama entered into a partnership that allows eleventh and twelfth grade students the opportunity to enroll in college courses that will also count as elective credits toward graduation. Each course counts for 3 semester hours of college credit, and 6 credit hours is the equivalent of 1 Carnegie Unit. Students are responsible for tuition, fees, books, and for securing their own transportation. All grades earned in the Dual Enrollment program will be recorded on student high school transcripts and will be included in calculating grade point averages and class rankings.
