My name is Elaine Carr and this is my 37th year as an educator having taught in Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama. The last 24 years of my career have been spent working for the Demopolis City School District, 21 of those years at Demopolis High School. I grew up in Panama City, Florida and attended Bay County public schools all the way through school. I earned an AA Degree in general education from Gulf Coast Community College, a BS degree in Special Education from Florida State University and a Master's Degree in Collaborative Education from the University of West Alabama.I am currently a high school collaborative teacher for students in grades 9-12 I have been married to Tommy Carr for almost 44 years and we have two adult children, Matthew J. Carr (DHS class of '98) and Erin A. Carr (DHS Class of '01) and four precious grandchildren, Avery, Ella, Noa Kate, and Isaac.
It has been and continues to be a great joy to serve my students as well as their parents in the quest to succeed in the great city of Demopolis and beyond!
