Hello! My name is Andi Turberville and I am the Education and Training teacher at Demopolis High School. I grew up in Demopolis, and graduated from DHS in 1998. I went on to attend the University of West Alabama where I attained a bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2002. I began working in the Demopolis City School System in 2003 where I taught Kindergarten for one year. I was then transferred to Demopolis Middle School where I taught 6th grade math for 8 years. I decided to add to my teaching certificate by taking the Praxis in Family and Consumer Science. In 2012, I moved to DHS to teach Family and Consumer Science, Hospitality and Tourism, and Culinary Arts. In 2015, I opened my own bakery in Demopolis. After 2 years at the bakery, I decided it was time to return to the classroom. I missed it so much! I came back to Demopolis High School to begin a new program for students who want to be teachers! I am so appreciative of this opportunity and hope to encourage students to really consider entering a profession in education.
I have been married to my husband, Shane, for 16 years. We have 4 wonderful kids and several fur babies! We love Demopolis and are proud to call it home!
